Selection of special issues

Each year, História da Historiografia selects two special issues through public call, with the topic of an additional special issue defined directly by the Executive Editors. Thus, a portion of the special issues published are received through community proposals, which are then assessed by the Executive Editors and the Editorial Board.

Proposals for publication in 2025 must be submitted by April 15, 2024, using the form below:

We will publish the results on May 8, 2024. Proposals can be submitted in Portuguese, English or Spanish.

Attention: To access the specific form for each language, it is necessary to have the browser open in the News tab, in the corresponding language, whose menu is on the right of the site.

Evaluation of received articles

Special issue may only receive contributions in the form of original or reviewed articles. All the articles received will be subject to the same evaluation process as articles received for the free section. Guest editors do not have access to the evaluation process, which will be conducted by a executive editor. The journal expects a special issue to contain at least 4 approved articles, with those failing to meet this requirement excluded.

Executive Editors reserve the right to publish or refuse the publication of approved articles, according to pertinence to the journal’s planned topics. Extraordinary case will be evaluated by the Executive Editors.
