The management of ecclesiastical justice in Río de la Plata in the 17th and 18th centuries: historiographical horizons

This paper explains the different forms of treatment that have earned ordinary ecclesiastical justice in the historiography on the Rio de la Plata during the period of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. From the literature survey, communicate some historiographical lines resulting from the investigation of the ways that are mentioned sources of law, powers of ecclesiastical persons and the use which has been given to the documents generated in the ecclesiastical administration of justice in different areas diocese. It is intended to reflect critically oriented design of a proposal for the study of ecclesiastical judges and addressing the administration of justice at the parroquial level.Downloads
