Between 1955 and 1966, Argentinian historiography experienced a “spring of renewal”, with its epicentre in universities. Existent bibliography states that Ceferino Garzón Maceda, from the National University of Córdoba, was one of the driving forces of such renewal. However, there are no studies that precisely define its features and extent. The objective of this work is to analyse the historiographic production of Garzón Maceda to outline the characteristics of the renewal in Córdoba and to specify its content and extent. It is stated that a renewal is evidenced in Garzón Maceda that shows a clear thematic shift, with an eclectic combination of strong changes and some notable permanent elements in methodologyDownloads
